01
Separate the garden tasks.
Changing levels, preparing a lawn and building a planted area create different material requirements. Describe the work and which stage needs help. Excavated soil is a different brief from green waste or mixed garden rubbish, so identify roots, turf and other components rather than calling the whole pile “garden waste”.
02
Measure the area you will finish.
For incoming topsoil, measure the area and use the finished depth agreed for the landscaping plan. Split areas with different depths rather than applying the deepest section to the whole garden. The topsoil calculator gives a starting volume and weight from its stated assumptions; confirm settlement and the final order with the team.
03
Make a route for the material.
A garden may have an accessible road but a difficult route to the working area. Explain gates, narrow side passages, overhead trees, soft ground and the intended storage position. Confirm what the delivery vehicle can actually do, and make a separate plan for moving the material from that position to the garden.
04
Connect removal and delivery.
If old soil must leave before fresh material arrives, explain how one stage creates space for the next. Keep descriptions and quantities separate for both movements. Include the postcode, access photographs and preferred sequence in one enquiry, then confirm the practical arrangement with the team before scheduling the work.
