01
Where it fits
Shingle describes rounded or partly rounded stone supplied in different sizes. The existing range lists 10 mm, 20 mm and 40 mm options; current availability and source must be confirmed. A size suitable for a decorative border may not meet a drainage design.
02
What to confirm
Tell us the size, colour expectations and intended use. Natural stone varies, and website photography cannot guarantee the colour of the next delivery. Ask for confirmation before matching an existing surface.
03
Plan your quantity
For a visible surface, consider edging, weed control and the intended depth. For drainage, follow the specified grading and filter arrangement rather than choosing by appearance.
04
Delivery details that help
Include your site postcode, the material name, approximate tonnage and the intended drop position. Flag narrow gates, parked vehicles, overhead obstructions and weak surfaces. The team confirms the material, safe access and delivery charge before the order is booked.
05
Choose the grading for the use.
Decorative surfacing, drainage and other landscaping applications can have different grading and appearance requirements. Explain which job the shingle will do and share a specification where one exists. The photograph illustrates the material category; it is not a guarantee of the exact colour, stone source or grading available for a particular order.
06
Measure only the intended layer.
Use the area and the depth agreed for your project to estimate volume. Keep the quantity for shingle separate from any underlying construction layers. If appearance matters, discuss the available product before ordering. Confirm the final weight, storage position, delivery format and any practical site restrictions with the team.
